Dejon is thrilled to be performing onstage for Dominion for the second time, with his first performance with Dominion being CeCe White in DreamGirls. Theatre credits include: Godspell (Jesus), Shenandoah (Gabriel), High School Musical (Troy Bolton), Grease (Danny Zuko), and Psycho Beach Party (YoYo). Film Credits include: Prim & Solus (James Solus), Waiting for Daylight (Alonzo), and Dreamer (Reggie). Dejon has also been featured as an interviewer for “Arlington Stories”, a Co-Host for the 19th Annual “Feel the Heritage Festival”, a panelist for the U.S. Department of Education’s town hall “Education NOW!”, and a Producer of two web talk shows.
Currently a college student, Dejon plans to continue his college education, as he is working on receiving a degree in Broadcast Journalism, and going on to work on receiving a Masters and Doctorate in Divinity. In addition to being involved in theatre, film, and politics, Dejon is also a licensed minister and serves as the Youth & Young Adult Minister at his church.
When asked why he chose to do this show being a Minister, Dejon said
“this show deals with universal topics that a lot of teenagers in today’s society are dealing with, and to be able to be in this type of show that puts it right in front you, is a great thing; this show can be the beginning of a dialogue of how we can prevent some of the things these teens in this show are struggling with.”
