That’s What She Sang is a jukebox musical that is written and directed by Patrick M. Doneghy. It’s based around a gay men’s support group where, even though they are each very different than each other, they learn to help each other and themselves along the way. Emotions and laughs fly as the men discuss life, lust & love while bursting into songs traditionally sung by women of musical theatre.
Before the show opens, we thought you might want to get acquainted with some of the songs in their original state…before they’re performed with a male spin.
Today we look at “Whatever Lola Wants” from the musical Damn Yankees Here is a clip of the legendary Gwen Verdon from the movie.
