There is one critical element to the show that we haven’t discussed on the blog yet. And that is God. No we’re not going to delve into a deep philosophical discussion. We’re talking about the Voice of God that you hear giving the pre-show “commandments” and instructing the Boyz during the show on how to go forth, with pleather-covered loins and product-laden hair, and spread his Word.

When hear the Voice of God, you might think it sounds familiar. Unless you’ve had any conversations with a burning bush lately, it’s most likely that you recognize it to be that of local radio personality Michael J. Elston, a.k.a, Buzz Burbank.

Buzz Burbank is a popular radio personality in Washington DC, and around the country. He’s been a prominent character on the nationally-syndicated Don and Mike Show and The Mike O’Meara Show for 19 years. Buzz worked in news for CBS Radio for 24 years. Recently he voiced the Sylvania Ultra-Bright Headlights commercial, which ran on all major networks, and has done voice work for The Discovery Channel, and The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. A recipient of the Associated Press Award for “Best Newscast” Buzz is still a featured player on The Mike O’Meara Show, one of the most popular comedy podcasts on iTunes. Buzz has also hosted talk and entertainment shows, and worked off-and-on in television. He loves theater, and has dabbled a bit backstage as well as onstage.
