Dominion honored by the American Association of University Women

On May 22nd, the American Association of University Women presented Dominion Stage with the Elizabeth Campbell Award for Outstanding Community-Arts Group at their annual Spring Awards Luncheon.  Dominion President Dave Moretti and Board member Larissa Norris were on hand to accept the award and represent the theatre. Below is an excerpt from the Sun Gazette about the event. Click the link below for the entire article about the luncheon and the other award recipients. Thank you to the Arlington chapter of AAUW for choosing Dominion Stage and for your continued support of the Arts!!

Also honored at the event was Dominion Stage, which received the Elizabeth Campbell Award for Outstanding Community-Arts Group.

Dominion got its start 60 years ago as the Fairlington Players, and while the name has changed, the troupe remains committed to giving interested residents the chance to be part of the arts scene.

“People come in to volunteer their time to keep the magic going,” said Dave Moretti, Dominion’s board president and executive director.

Of the award, he said, “It really helps to validate the fact that we are on the right path.”
